take-out

A couple weeks ago, we had a spontaneous picnic.  Except we cheated and picked up Red Robin take-out.

But we supplied our own fancy schmancy drinks.  And we took it all to a park and found a great table in a lovely spot.

By the way…I love how the above photo turned out.  It’s the driving force behind this silly post.  I really wanted to share this photo.  It makes me feel nostalgic and modern, all at once.

And these boys, they make me feel blessed and happy.  Most of the time, anyway.  :)   I love their interaction.

Now, what’s this one grinning about?

No, it’s not that he’s pretending to throw that frisbee at me.  It’s that he tooted.  Yep.  He was looking all serious, and then “it” happened.  And he cracked up.  And I clicked.  There you have it.

Toots and zerberts…they’re what make a boy’s world go ’round.

That and having fun with Daddy.

I just got your comment on my blog. We hadn’t ever been to The Oregon Garden, either. Homeschool Day was a good excuse. :) I belong to an email loop for local homeschoolers, which is where I get a lot of tips on things that are happening. (Sure would be nice to have a website or blog with all that info in one place, though!) By the way, the Renaissance Faire is this weekend in Shrewsbury (middle of nowhere) and Evergreen Aviation has monthly homeschool days with classes/workshops. This month is Rocketry on the 24th. I just signed the boys up. You can call their education department for more info. They don’t have specifics on their website. It sure would be fun to see you there! (I’m hoping to make it to most of them…)

    Heidi-
I’ve just been talking with Connie this morning about Evergreen Aviation. I have a couple questions for you about their homeschool days and regarding passes, etc… Do you have a pass? Do you pay extra for the homeschool classes? Would you mind emailing me back? :) Thank you!

It’s such a special relationship for LIFE when son and father enjoy each other and share interests. And he’ll always remember that mom was there to cheer him on, too. (This comment should really go to your other post, but this is where I landed last)
